Don and Chris Thompson
Don and Chris Thompson have been serving the Villa Ridge community for over 30 years. Don met his wife, Chris, in New York working as an Aircraft Technician in the Air Force. They moved to the St. Louis area in 1980 and bought Bourbeuse Valley Harley-Davidson® off the old Route 66. Although, Don has retired you can still find him in the Service Department working hands-on with the Service Techs.
The nearby Bourbeuse River meaning "muddy water" in French. It has played quite the role in the business over the past 30 years. Not only providing the name of the shop, its rising waters were responsible for flooding the old shop four times in 20 years. After flood number four, it was time for a change.
Truckloads upon truckloads of dirt were brought in to build a hill next to the old shop, and in 2001, the new Bourbeuse Valley Harley-Davidson® was completed on top. Though the muddy Bourbeuse waters may come up from time to time, the new shop has merely been surrounded by a moat as its predecessor remains standing on the low ground beside it.
Don and Chris have been in the motorcycle industry for most of their working lives creating one of the most family like atmospheres you can expect to find at a dealership. Their daughter, Michelle, is involved as the General Manager. This is truly a family business and we are happy to include you as a part of our H-D® family and look forward to serving you!
Come out and see us on old Route 66!
